Child Therapy
Children do not always have the words to communicate their needs or inner experience. Play and art are natural forms of communication for children; a way for them to process their experiences and experiment with new behaviors to find ways to cope with stress, gain self-control, and communicate their needs. I use several experiential modalities, including art, play and sand tray to support self expression and therapeutic change. Play Therapy explanation video for children.
Parent Support
I can act as a bridge between you and your child to aid communication and deepen relationships. While keeping client confidentiality, I include parents and guardians in the therapeutic process to support the child in therapeutic change. In addition to parent support, I am also trained in Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), which provides parents of young children the tools to understand and meet their children’s emotional and behavioral needs.
Adolescent and Young Adult Therapy
Adolescence and Young Adulthood is a unique period of life, where the focus changes to developing identities, experiencing changes in your body and mood, and navigating challenging peer interactions and school/work obligations. I provide a safe space to explore these transitions and pull from several therapeutic models to find the right approach for your unique experience. These include expressive arts therapy, solution focused therapy, and narrative therapy. I provide options for both in-person and teletherapy services for my clients, depending on your needs.
Perinatal Support
Becoming a parent is a major life transition. Together, we can hold space for your experience as you explore your new and changing identity, emotions, and needs. I provide a supportive container to address mental health concerns, as well as parenting and relationship concerns.
